A double-page centerfold of Chicago's magnificent park system — designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux in partnership with William Le Baron Jenney, Chicago's park network was one of the great achievements of 19th-century urban planning. In 1891 Chicago was preparing to host the World's Columbian Exposition on the South Side lakefront, and its parks — Lincoln Park on the North Shore, Grant Park along the lakefront, Washington Park and Jackson Park on the South Side — were the living backdrop to that ambition. A vivid, displayable, and very frameable piece of Chicago urban and landscape history.

A double-page centerfold of the proposed Machinery Hall for the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition — one of the great exhibition buildings of the White City, where the technological wonders of the Gilded Age would be displayed to 27 million visitors. Machinery Hall was among the largest buildings ever constructed at that date, its soaring iron and glass interior housing the engines, turbines, and mechanical marvels that defined the industrial age. A primary document of the greatest World's Fair in American history at its design stage. Two double-page centerfolds in one issue is extraordinary — both are independently very frameable.
