This is an authentic incunable leaf from the famous Nuremberg Chronicle (Liber Chronicarum), printed in Augsburg, Germany, in 1496. As one of the greatest illustrated works of the 15th century, the Chronicle combines early printing, history, and art into a masterpiece of the Renaissance.

Provenance: From a disbound incomplete copy acquired at auction. No intact book was harmed.
